Services:

What types of services do you offer?

Progressive Diagnostics offers a wide range of diagnostic laboratory tests that are commonly ordered by healthcare providers. These include respiratory tests like COVID-19, Flu A+B and RSV, as well as blood tests like Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, and other blood tests used to evaluate metabolic activity and hormone and reproductive health.

What is the difference between a PCR and Rapid Test?

PCR tests are recommended by healthcare professionals to detect COVID-19 when symptoms begin to appear or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. PCR tests detect the molecular (genetic) presence of the virus. A PCR test detects COVID-19 earlier than rapid tests, even among people who are asymptomatic. Rapid tests are over-the-counter tests that detect the antigen protein created by the virus. It is not as sensitive as the PCR test in detecting COVID-19 in its early stages and has therefore been known to produce “false negative” results. Rapid tests are useful to track your recovery process.
