Progressive COVID-19 Virus/PCR Saliva Testing
We are offering FDA EUA authorized COVID-19 virus/PCR testing through saliva which is the most recent form of accurate virus testing and the most comfortable test for patients. Individuals simply need to deposit their saliva in a tube and an approved CLIA laboratory tests the sample.
Virus/PCR testing may be right for you if you are currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or believe that you might have been recently exposed to the virus. Common COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath and many flu-like symptoms. People infected with the COVID-19 virus can have a range of mild symptoms to severe illness and the symptoms can appear two to 14 days after being exposed to the virus. Children have similar symptoms to adults but generally have a mild illness. Results from this type of test will help to diagnose whether you have an active COVID-19 infection.
Even if you do not have any symptoms it is recommended that you get tested in certain situations, for example: if you are a health care worker; first responder; congregate care facility resident or staff (includes nursing homes, assisted living facilities, managed residential communities, correctional institutions); or living in communities at high risk. You should also be tested, even if you are asymptomatic, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 virus without having adequate protection. In addition, virus/PCR testing is also mandatory per certain travel regulations and for various medical procedures.
- A positive diagnosis can help guide you and your provider make an informed decision about self-isolating to protect your family, friends and coworkers.
Progressive COVID-19 Antibody Blood Testing
We are offering an FDA EUA-authorized antibody test with a simple blood test designed to detect the body’s natural immune response to the COVID-19 virus infection. Antibody tests may be helpful to individuals who do not currently have symptoms but believe that they may have been previously infected with the COVID-19 virus.
- A positive result can help you and your healthcare provider determine when to return to work and/or reconnect with friends and family.
- A negative result indicates that you have not been infected with the COVID-19 virus. Your healthcare provider can help you determine how best to remain vigilant about your exposure to the virus.
