  • You may have COVID-19 if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.

    These symptoms are similar to the flu. That is why Progressive Diagnostics offers PCR testing for both COVID-19 and Flu A&B.

    It is possible to have COVID-19 and NOT have symptoms. It is called being “asymptomatic.” If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, it is recommended to get a COVID-19 PCR test.

  • Healthcare professionals recommend a COVID-19 PCR test when symptoms first appear or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

    Testing may be needed prior to various medical procedures. Please consult with your healthcare provider.

    Tests may be needed for travel. Please contact your airline or travel agent to see if a COVID-19 test is required prior to travel.

  • Healthcare professionals recommend a PCR test to detect COVID-19 following exposure or when symptoms begin to appear. Progressive Diagnostics’ PCR test is a test authorized by the FDA under its Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

  • Contact your healthcare provider if you test positive for COVID-19. Based on your test results and health history, your healthcare provider will recommend treatment, quarantine, and any other medical guidance important to you and your family.

    Recovery varies by person. If you have a mild to moderate COVID-19 infection, you may start feeling better in a few days. Use a rapid test from Progressive Diagnostics to track your infection at home.   • Antibodies are produced by your body’s immune system following and infection or immunization. Progressive Diagnostics offers a COVID-19 antibody test to monitor your immunity.

    Researchers continue studying how COVID-19 antibodies help our immune systems fight future infections. Currently, experts say it is unclear how much protection we get from antibodies, how long we benefit from them, or if they lower our risk of reinfection.

  • Private and public health plans currently cover most COVID-19 tests. PCR and antibody tests are covered based on medical necessity.

    Up to eight rapid tests per person, per month are reimbursed by health plans. To be reimbursed for your out of pocket expense for a rapid tests, you need to contact your insurer yourself. The PCR tests, on the other hand, are billed by the laboratory.
